Open Question: HTC Desire GPS problem?

I have recently purchased a HTC Desire from O2 but the GPS doesn't seem to work. When on navigation or maps it just searches for the location and eventually times out. Is there any settings that can get the GPS to work?

Open Question: Best Answer Will Be Chosen: What is the best brand In-Dash car DVD player?

Some In-Dash DVD players come with GPS. What I want you to do for me is tell me what brand(s) are considered the best ( i.e., Mac computers are usually better than HP computers). When shopping for a car In-Dash DVD player, with or without GPS, what features must the unit have? For example: DVD playback should support DVD-R, DVD-RW, MP3, MP4, WMP format. If you know of a very powerful In-Dash DVD player, tell me some of the amazing things that it does. And provide links to the unit description so that I can get a glimpse of it, and where to purchase. The more informative, descriptive and helpful your answer is, the likely you will be chosen as the best answer. Thank you.

Open Question: What bridge camera should i buy?

hiya i'm currently looking for a so-called bridge cameras to use everyday whenever me and the wife are out and about or on a holiday or in a party. she likes something slightly compact and i like the features of a DSLR but with not too advance features. had a Panasonic FZ28 before but i had to selll it as i wanted to try the newer ones. i hear Panasonic is slowly gaining respect with their newer cameras and with all neat and not-too-advanced features, etc. Canon is for me the "mainstream" brand but lately i think they have become stale in the bridge camera department with almost no new ones coming out Nikon i heard are quick in-between shots and their shutter speeds but their biggest weakness are the night shots. that is what i heard. i dunno if it's true Olympus i have no idea how good they are but from the reviews i can see so far from known retail/online websites they are "so-so". what i want is the best of both worlds having: all the usual bridge camera features (same with the FZ28) a good battery life (propietory or AA's batteries or otherwise as long as it last quite more than the average) widescreen or panorama feature microSD (HC or XC) compatibility a good handle/grip on the side 720p (atleast) or full 1080p video recording GPS/ geo tagging feature ( though may not be a priority ) fast/quick start-up, in-between shots and shutter speed 12MP-14MP min. Max budget is £350-£400 any sugestions guys? would really appreciate it.... i meant SD (HC or XC) compatribility. i meant SD card. and if i was to limit myself between the "Top 3" which is Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Olympus (that's 4...haha) what would you guys recommend to me? a very good, quality, descent, more-than-novice, fast-acting camera i want.... sugestions please.....

Open Question: Tracking a Microchip?

I know this has to be possible because everything seems to be trackable these days. Here is the situation. My dog was stolen from my yard. She has a microchip and according to the company these chips are not a gps. Which is true but there is always was to do what they say can not be done. Some radio's will pick up cell phone's and some electronic devices will interfere with others. So, my question is.... is there anything that will pick up a pet's microchip other than the scanner or anything that can be made to track the chip. From what I was told it works like a mirror image with the hand held scanner but when there is a will there is a way and I just need to find the way so I can find my baby because my heart is broken and I just want her home. If anyone can help figure this out please email me.

Open Question: Confused about something a client said to me relating to religion?

I am a vet tech and was going through some information with a new dog owner about microchipping her puppy when she abruptly interrupted me to say that it was against her religion. I'm aware of the "mark of the beast" but I had no idea this pertained to microchips/pets...The chip isn't a gps or tracking device, just a number in case the dog ever gets picked up or turned in. Does anyone know what religion this must be or what the heck she was talking about? She had tattoos, pierced ears, wore makeup, had neutered dogs, so I didn't really understand. Thanks.
