Resolved Question: My employer will not let me work part time?

I requested to have my hours cut down to 24 a week, but my employer says I have to work full-time(at least 32 hours) or else they will fire me. I have 4 online courses and I am already failing all of them. They said I have to work full time in order to get company benefits, but I do not want company benefits, I already have insurance from a separate provider. They also make me do the outdoor work when I was originally hired to do indoor electronics. I already have started looking for another location, should I quit or try talking to them?

Resolved Question: how can i use A/C split unit to cool water ?

Hello electronics geeks; I wanted to have a water cooler for my tank since it reaches very high temp at summer , and the water is hotter than the heater water itself in winter. So i thought i would go and buy one , and i saw one in the some showroom which cost around 600 $ !!! It was just an A/C split unit (outdoor unit only) with the condenser ( copper pipe looped in a tank) and some controller connected to it. so i thought why dont i do my own. but the thing is , the unit i have at home doesnt have the control wire fixed to the outdoor unit. any help with that ?!

Resolved Question: My host family letter?

Here is my letter please tell me what more I should add and any mistakes I made or things I should take out. Dear Host family, Hello, my name is Jonathan. I would like to thank you in advance for reading my letter. I am writing this almost a year early so please forgive me if some things change. Currently, I am 15 years old and am a sophomore in high school. At my school I enjoy playing soccer with my friends on the team. The position I play is center defender. I have played baseball for 7 years, basketball, and football, but soccer is by far my favorite even though I have only been playing for almost 2 years. Besides soccer, I also enjoy a club at my school called “Future Business Leaders of America”. Besides all the fun volunteering opportunities, I joined because I hope to work in business in the future. One time we volunteered to make food packages for kids in Africa. My favorite subjects in school include “Computer aided drafting: Civil engineering and architecture”, math, and biology. If some one asked me to describe myself I would say I’m determined, hard-working, caring, funny, and outgoing. Being determined is probably my most strong trait. For example my goal this school year was to get an A in all classes. Some peers thought I couldn’t do it because I am in 5 advanced classes with only 2 regular. But showing my determination, currently I have A’s in every class. I only have one sibling, her name is Becky and she is 18 years old. She loves horses and outdoor activities. She is in college for Dentistry and likes playing soccer. One thing my family has in common is we all love outdoor activities such as camping and jet skiing. Sometimes when my dad comes home from work on Friday we load up the jet ski's and ride until dark. I enjoy working on motors and fixing things with my dad. My mom is very caring and likes doing anything that makes the rest of us happy. She enjoys spending time with family doing things like camping. Activities I enjoy besides soccer and other sports are just outdoor activities in general. I love being outside doing something on a hot day. Besides outdoor activities, I enjoy computers, video games, and watching movies. Computers and other electronics interest me greatly. When I look at an electric device I wonder how it was made and how it works internally. Because of my interest I hope to go to college for computer science and electrical engineering so maybe one day I can help design an electronic device. Student exchange is something I have been interested in for years now. I enjoy traveling in general but besides that the culture is what interests me the most. My interest in Japan sparked for me when we had lessons over feudal Japan in History class. I began to get books about Japan and read stories about the popular samurai and ninja. Also martial arts interests me although I have not had the chance to learn any. One thing that pops into my head when I think of Japan is the architecture. The temples are beautiful and interesting. Thanks again for reading my letter. Sincerely, Jonathan

Resolved Question: Keep Outdoor Electronics Warm In Winter?

I have an electronic sensor that I use outside my house to detect cars. It works great. Only problem is that I live in Michigan and some times the temperature drops to 0 degrees F. The sensor some needs to be kept around 20 degrees F. Right now the sensor is mounted in a small tube to protect it from rain and other elements. Is there any type of insulation I could use to keep this sensor warm? It itself doesn't produce heat, and I don't want to use any type of heating system to keep it warm.

Resolved Question: What is appropriate for wedding registries? We are registering at Wal-Mart and Target.?

My fiancee and I are only registering at Wal-Mart and Target as we and most of our guests live in rural areas. We know we should register for things like dishes and bedding, but about cleaning things like a vacum or a Swifter Sweper? Can we register for some furniture like a bookshelf or small tables? What about electronics like smoke detectors, house phones, answering machine, or a stero that we have been eyeing up that costs under 75 bucks. What about outdoor things? Or decortative things like rugs, pillows, bathroom knick-knacks or a small fountain? Are spectality things okay like a pizza maker or a cotton candy maker? What about one of those machines that look like move theater popcorn that make popcorn? We have been dreaming of one of those soda coolers that look and work like a real soda machine for years. Or what about stuff for our Wii? Like a rechargable battery stand or even Rockband? Or our cat? We'd really like a self cleaning litterbox. Please help! Thank you!

Resolved Question: Why won't my electric snow blower start all the time?

I have a 13.5-amp electric (NOT gas) Snow Joe snow blower I bought last year. It worked for a few weeks last winter and then stopped turning on consistently. It turns on about 1 in 10 times now, so it isn't completely dead. I use an orange outdoor cord that I've tested with other items, and it works fine with all of them. I also bought a new cord just to check and the snow blower still turns on only occasionally when connected to the new cord. What might be wrong with this snow blower that causes it to start up only once in a while? I know almost nothing about electronics, so please use language as basic as possible.

Resolved Question: What should I get my sister for christmas?

What should I get my sister for christmas?? I know that I have put a lot of questions about my sister, but its a good place to get advice. Anyway, she is five and I want to start thinking of things to get her. My parents are gonna get her like a huge outdoor playhouse and quite a few other things from family and friends. They gave me money to get her stuff. She has a lot of electronics like: a nintendo a computer (She just plays games on it) a DVD player And she uses the family iPad a lot more than anyone else so its basically hers. She has tons of books, I give her all of my old ones. She has tons of toys and soft toys. She is kinda spoiled, I have no idea what to get her! She loves makeup and dressing up, so... If there is anything like some dressing sup clothes? We would both like a Wii but they are quite expensive. I usually get her a toy and a day out, i will take her out for a day to the park or a museum or the playground. We basically do anything she wants for a day. I know she is spoiled but thats my parents fault. Anyone have any suggestions?

Voting Question: Fun things to do at my house?

First of all, I am a preteen (girl) living on a small farm in montana. In the spring and summer, there is so much to do, from fishing to horse showing, to playing in the woods, to so much more! But my younger sister (age 8) and I often find ourselves bored in the winter. What are some fun things (indoor and outdoor) we can do to keep entertained? And this next part is quite long, sorry: More details: We live pretty far outside of town and we have animals like chickens, goats and horses, as well as dogs, rabbits and barn cats. It snows a lot here in the winter, so outdoor activities have to be fit for cold weather. We're both homeschooled, and we're both bright kids so we usually finish our work early, making for a shorter school day, so we have more time to kill during the day. We do have electronics, (a Wii, Nintendo DS, iPod Touch, Computer, Television) but we are only allowed to spend an hour and a half using them a day unless we're doing something educational, (ie watching the discovery channel or doing research on the computer) so we can't exactly spend the whole day on technology. I like to read, but I can only get new books from the library once a week, and as I usually finish all seven books within a day, two days tops, that doesn't keep me busy for very long. We do have a hill outside our house that could be used as a sled hill, and we have dog agility obstacles (jumps, tunnels, etc.) that we sometimes use with the dogs, but I don't know if that would be fun when there's snow outside. We both like to draw and we both have active imaginations, so anything that could put our creativity to work would be great. We also have a trampoline and a pool, but the pool is a definite no-go in the winter, because we drain it in the winter. We have a few stout climbing trees, but again, not much fun in the winter. So, basically, if you have any ideas that you think would be fun for my sister and I to do in the winter, indoors or outdoors, I'd love to hear it! Thanks for taking the time to read this! Bye!
