Open Question: Is the Garmin Etrex H goodfor geocaching?
I'm talking about the yellow one with no color display. Is is good for geocaching? Because that's probably all I'd be using it for, and maybe finding a few addresses/locations. What are the pros and cons of the gps? This is the only one I can get right now since my parents don't wanna spend so much on geocaching, so don't reccoment some $400 one. Thanks!

Open Question: Garmin GPS Model w/ Destinations Search & Realtime Traffic?
I'm looking to buy a Garmin GPS but there's is almost 20+ different models to choose from. I just need one with Destination Search where I can look up things like Restaurants, (For example, Type in "Joe's Seafood shack" or something like that) and it will show me the address and directions to it. I would like Realtime Traffic too but I guess its not 100% needed.
Anyone know a model that does this for a fair price???
I'm not very Tech savy at all, Plz help. Thank you!

Open Question: What GPS should I get for geocaching? (and how's the Garmin Etrex H?)?
Well, that's not my exact question, I just didn't know how to put it. I just got a geomate jr. gps because I read a bunch of good reviews about it. My friend and I got into geocaching not to long ago. But I'm having regrets for buying it. Half of me wants to keep it and half wants to return it. I hate the fact that you can't put locations into it, and the cord to "update" is is $25! So should I return it and get a Garmin Etrex H? I really feel like it's better. It comes with the cord and everything. Help me. I don't wanna buy a super expensive $300 one!

Open Question: What does it mean that the Garmin GPS i want to buy says it knows maps of the lower 48 U.S states?
I am interested in buying a Garmin GPS and i was curious why it said that it knows maps of the Lower 48 U.S States, hawaii and Puerto Rico... does that mean it only knows how to navigate around 48 states and not two of the 50 U.S states? that seems weird...i'm completely lost when it comes to Electronics..someone please help =(

Resolved Question: Is direct GPS possible for iPhone 3g?
I have a iPhone 3g and am wondering if there is an app or a method of getting direct gps without charges? I do not have a data plan, I bought the phone off a friend who upgraded and I can not yet afford a data plan.
I have a garmin but do not keep it with me unless I know I will need it, I want access to gps for if a friend wants to hangout and I need to find their place.
I'm sure this is possible by 'jailbreaking' but I am unsure about doing that.

Open Question: If microchips came with GPS synched to Magellan/Garmin etc...?
Would you get your dog such a chip if the cost was, say $99?
Chips would still have the data on them they do now - so finders can trace the dog back to u - but also a micro transponder so that you could get in the car and go track Fido down yourself right away?

Open Question: Ok, I've narrowed my GPS search down to the listed Garmin models. Which one of them do you recommend?
Pretty much my only criteria are that it tells you the name of the street that you turn on and even more importantly that it has a headphone jack as I might be using it on a motorcycle (not interested in a motorcycle specialty model or other high priced models that you can use blue-tooth headsets with). Of the following models (some current, some discontinued), which do you recommend?
NUVI 295W
NUVI 350
NUVI 660
NUVI 680
NUVI 750
NUVI 755T
NUVI 760
NUVI 765T

Open Question: Looking for a new GPS for what I need?
I'm looking for a removable GPS for my car. I have one of the first that Garmin came out with and I hate it. I'm looking for a new modle and I'm wondering does Garmin, Tom Tom, ect have a GPS where I can tell it what way I want to go. Lets Say I wanted to take 202 to 2E instead of lets say 495 to get some place. Is there something like that on the market?
