My friend has done nothing in his spare time but play video games. Primary League of Legends. And he obsesses about it. I really want to find him a hobby but it is difficult since he finds everything else lame. Voting Question: What music schools should I look at?

I'm starting to look at colleges, but have no idea what I'll do with my life as of now. However, I do know that I want to do something with music. By the time I graduate in 2014 I'll... -have six years on my primary instrument, saxophone. -have participated in our school's concert band, pep band, chamber ensemble, honor band, and jazz band for several years. -participated in a church's orchestra for three years. -probably done region band for a year or two (not sure if I'll get in yet.) -have taken AP Music Theory at school (haven't taken the exam yet, but I'll probably get a 3 or 4.) -more or less play sax, piano, guitar, and flute. -have went to band camp at Furman for three summers. -I'm the only high school sax player, so by default I get all first parts, but in jazz band there are older sax players and I still get first parts. I'm pretty good, but not phenomenal. I'm about a high B student at a really good private school and will take 4-6 AP classes from sophomore-senior year. I don't do sports but am a leader in my school's outdoor education program and come on, band is a totally team effort. I don't particularly care for jazz or classical music, and don't want to go to school in the South. Money is a significant factor in what school I go to. Ideally, I'd like to be in part of an ensemble that records music for movie scores or a studio/touring musician that works for rock bands (once I graduate.) I'm sort of looking at DePaul and Berklee but I don't really know.

WTF do you do?? I know some people who practically don't enjoy anything in life - all they do is STUDY and work. That's fine, but that get awfully boring?? I have a moderately social life, fun course (design), travel, have a girlfriend, drink socially, go out when asked, play guitar, long-board, plan to travel and I STILL get bored of my life sometimes... I am honestly curious what you do in your spare time any outdoor activities** lily: you smartass :P

I am from a rather small southern town and all I do for fun after work is fishing. Which might sound weird for a 21 year old woman but there is really nothing else to do around here. My boyfriend is into his Christian rock band but I suck with instruments and i am more of an outdoors person. Any suggestions?

Resolved Question: I am doing an outdoor treasure hunt at school and need some short riddles.?

The children need to find 10 black cats with numeracy questions on them. The clues will be placed around the outdoor adventure play area which consists of a maze made up of flowers, a wooden hut, musical instruments, a tyre swing, some monkey bars and a stepping post. Also, there is some large boulders, trees and leaves etc. I have a few riddles for the flowers and trees but can't think of any for the rest. I don't mind if they have to do an activity such as hit the music bars to make music etc. The children are 7/8yrs old and I need about 8 clues.

Resolved Question: Almost 6 and he still can't play alone!?

My soon to be 6 year old (less than a week away), cannot play alone for more than 10 minutes! We have run the gambit of teaching him to use imagination (using toys and making up stories), he has imagination toys (blocks, legos, Lincoln logs, trucks, dinosaurs, manual train set, loads of books) outdoor toys (bike, scooter, balls) music instruments, cardboard castle fort, play kitchen, and he will do nothing unless he has someone to play with him. He is in kindergarten, but when he gets home he wants tv or electronic games (neither he is able to have during the school week). We live in an area that has no kids, and are not able to put him in after school activities (lessons of sports, music, whatever) I know I will be missing him in a few years when the "I don't have parents" mentality kicks in, but sometimes I just need a break!
